May 19, 2013 04:05 AM PDT
“Of course it's much greater than your Benz or your Lex / The engine to my comprehension is just too complex. Much too complex... [Dave]. Pt. 2wo is hErE with even more dope music from the SOUL! The instamatic focal point bringing damage to your boroughs /
I've been a De La Soul fan since the beginning. I was 3 Feet High & Rising back in '89, then they fantastically died in '91, only to soar once again in a Buhloone Mind State in 1993. Plugs 1, 2 & 3 aka Posdnous, Trugoy The Dove and Maseo aka Kelvin Mercer, Dave Jolicoeur and Vincent Mason continue to Stay High to this day because that's what the stakes is and always will be! Welcome once again to the Good Ship as we set set sail for over two hours of warm weather & calm waters, refreshing drinks topped off with the tastiest beats, rhymes and life stories. This is part one of the 3 Pin Plug 'De La Morpheus Soul' specials and a massive salute to one of the greatest hip-hop groups ever to grace this planet we call earth...Legends! Part Won is a random selection of De La Dopeness that I've been damaging my neck muscles while simultaneously soothing my eardrums to through the week, I found it incredibly hard to break it down to just one pod-cast so that's why I'm using the three pin plug system. I begin with an impossible mission in Japan searching for Art Official Intelligence while De La Soul drop classics aplenty featuring guest vocal appearances from Mos Def, Zhané, Butta Verses,Common, Busta Rhymes, Truth Enola, Carl Thomas, Glenn Lewis and the wonderful Miss Elizabeth 'Yummy' Bingham. Production comes from the sublime Supa Dave West alongside Kev Brown, Jake One, Rockwilder, Jay Dee, 9th Wonder, Young RJ and more. The Brand New De La Soul single from the their forthcoming eighth studio album entitled 'You're Welcome' features, plus tributes and homages from Senor Kaos, J. Rawls, Von Pea, Dela, Homeboy Sandman and Kooley High. Please Feel Free to Share & Spread The Joy.

I speak for the hardcore (ruff, rugged and raw) / I'm outta here, catch me chillin on my next tour / From the US to the white cliffs of Dover / Strictly underground funk, keep the crossover. [Parrish 'PMD' Smith]. This pod-cast is dedicated to an elite squad of emcees and beat makers who never made you question hip-hop in the 1990's. About Morpheus SoulThe Morpheus Soul Show was originally presented by ‘The Temporary Residents’ DJ Johnny Rebel, Ten Mill & The Soulful Solly Brown. Every Saturday for seven years they showcased their unique blend of progressive soul and soulful hip-hop LIVE on air featuring a mix of music that you could not find on any other radio station. This weekly affair also played host to some super talented guests including Grammy nominee Eric Roberson, Stones Throw emcee extraordinaire Homeboy Sandman, Super Producer Ski Beatz, a host of home-grown UK talent including Colonel Red, Sharlene Hector, Mystro, Heidi Vogel, Terri Walker, Julie Dexter and Ty to name a few, plus stateside wordsmiths aplenty with Pugs Atomz, John Robinson, Tanya Morgan and Spec Boogie all showing Morpheus Soul love with fantastic interviews and off the top freestyle jams alongside The Temporary Residents very own vibes master ‘The One & Only Lyrickal’. On air since October 2005, the show was born out of the trio’s frustration at the distinct lack of airplay for some of their favourite artists. After deciding to address this, The Morpheus Soul Show found a niche and made a positive impression on the radio scene with their mix of music and personable presenting style. Combined with the usual mix of competitions and gig guides it all added up to a potent but addictive mix, which when combined with their unique, unscripted humour meant there was never a dull moment. Morpheus Soul has been off air since March 2012 due to radio station politics (Industry Rule #4080), and are currently searching for a new home to broadcast and entertain our talented guests. Until that time comes, DJ Johnny Rebel will carry on and provide our dedicated listeners to weekly pod-casts, featuring over two hours of fresh music, every Saturday. Less Chat but More Boom Bap Rap & Progressive Soul on Tap. Spread the word! Followers
