“Of course it's much greater than your Benz or your Lex / The engine to my comprehension is just too complex. Much too complex... [Dave].

Pt. 2wo is hErE with even more dope music from the SOUL! Yes People...After the love I received for last weeks 'Part Won' tribute to the legendary 'De La Soul', I decided to unleash the second episode of my three pin trilogy in anticipation of their forthcoming, eighth studio album entitled 'You're Welcome'.

Classics, gems and rarities are all on the agenda as De La Soul remind us that hip-hop is their business and they love what they do. Vocal appearances this time come via Shortie No Mass, Guru R.I.P, Dres, Raheem DeVaughn, and the beautiful voice of Miss Vinia Mojica. Production once again from the excellent Supa Dave West alongside LA Jay, GE-OLOGY, Spearhead X, Young RJ, and producer extraordinaire DJ Prince Paul.

Tributes, homages and features with Chi Ali, J. Period, Mr. Complex, Gummy Soul & Camp Lo.

Please Feel Free to Share & Spread The Joy. Parental Advisory Explicit Content.

ENJOY!

The instamatic focal point bringing damage to your boroughs /
Be some brothers from the east with some beats that be thorough. [Posdnuos].

I've been a De La Soul fan since the beginning. I was 3 Feet High & Rising back in '89, then they fantastically died in '91, only to soar once again in a Buhloone Mind State in 1993. Plugs 1, 2 & 3 aka Posdnous, Trugoy The Dove and Maseo aka Kelvin Mercer, Dave Jolicoeur and Vincent Mason continue to Stay High to this day because that's what the stakes is and always will be!

Welcome once again to the Good Ship as we set set sail for over two hours of warm weather & calm waters, refreshing drinks topped off with the tastiest beats, rhymes and life stories. This is part one of the 3 Pin Plug 'De La Morpheus Soul' specials and a massive salute to one of the greatest hip-hop groups ever to grace this planet we call earth...Legends!

Part Won is a random selection of De La Dopeness that I've been damaging my neck muscles while

simultaneously soothing my eardrums to through the week, I found it incredibly hard to break it down to just one pod-cast so that's why I'm using the three pin plug system. I begin with an impossible mission in Japan searching for Art Official Intelligence while De La Soul drop classics aplenty featuring guest vocal appearances from Mos Def, Zhané, Butta Verses,Common, Busta Rhymes, Truth Enola,

Carl Thomas, Glenn Lewis and the wonderful Miss Elizabeth 'Yummy' Bingham. Production comes from the sublime Supa Dave West alongside Kev Brown, Jake One, Rockwilder, Jay Dee, 9th Wonder, Young RJ and more. The Brand New De La Soul single from the their forthcoming eighth studio album entitled 'You're Welcome' features, plus tributes and homages from Senor Kaos, J. Rawls, Von Pea, Dela, Homeboy Sandman and Kooley High.

I speak for the hardcore (ruff, rugged and raw) / I'm outta here, catch me chillin on my next tour / From the US to the white cliffs of Dover / Strictly underground funk, keep the crossover. [Parrish 'PMD' Smith].

This pod-cast is dedicated to an elite squad of emcees and beat makers who never made you question hip-hop in the 1990's. I've been meaning to put this selection together for a long time now and it was so hard to compile, simply because, the amount of top notch beats & rhymes these particular artists turned out on a regular basis was second to none. I'm talking about the legendary rap kings EPMD aka Erick Sermon & Parrish Smith alongside fellow word-smiths Das EFX, Keith Murray, K-Solo and Redman, collectively known as The Hit Squad and Def Squad respectively. This has got to be volume one of (think of a number) as there were so many funked up bangers I wanted to include right here, so you can rest assure that part two will be hear in the very near future.

So all aboard the good ship once again, as your favourite artists, favourite pod-cast gets ready to set sail for another two hours plus of Morpheus Soul Dopeness, with a truck load of classic joints from EPMD & family and featuring guest appearances from LL Cool J, Too Short & Method Man.
